John Retires! (29.12.11)

 Happy New Year everyone!  We at Teck thank all our clients for a successful 2011 and our employees, subtrades and suppliers for making it all happen. 

We ended the year with our traditional crew lunch providing a welcome get together for the Teck crew and staff just before Christmas.  It was a special occasion as we recognized the retirement of long-time employee, John Stomperud.  Johnny, as he is known, started in 1984 and has served as our “stellar” backhoe driver through many interesting times over the last 27 years – quite an accomplishment indeed!  Known for his ability to find existing underground pipes, Johnny will be missed.  He was part of the family and always a key part of the company.  Our retired founder Al Tecklenborg was also on hand to thank Johnny for his many years of service.  Giving him the traditional retirement watch is ironic as now he doesn’t need a watch!
